People on the go can now research and discuss the latest mobile apps, plus business and consumer software in the SoftCity Café
MONTREAL - July 13, 2010 - SoftCity, the first social commerce
website dedicated to software, announced the launch of its free SoftCity iPhone application. People on the go can
now research and discuss the latest mobile apps, plus business and consumer software in the SoftCity Café, where
developers, users and experts interact in a community. Users participating in the SoftCity Café can also
earn SoftDollars, for discounts on mobile applications and software purchases from the SoftCity Marketplace.
The SoftCity iPhone application allows software users to:
- Browse and search for recent and relevant advice from multiple categories including:
Business, creative, home and hobbies, Internet and networking, mobile apps, multimedia and OS utilities.
- View their own SoftCity dashboard for recent posts, software updates,
discussion threads, and read about what software their favorite experts are recommending.
- Participate by voting and commenting in the SoftCity Café community and earn
SoftDollars for discounts on software purchases from the online SoftCity Marketplace.
"We're excited to put the SoftCity Café in the palms of iPhone users' hands," said Marc-Antoine Ross,
co-founder and COO of SoftCity. "People can now participate in the SoftCity community wherever and whenever
they want. They can get expert advice about software programs before they make a purchase. They can even direct
questions to the developer of an application."
SoftCity iPhone is available immediately and can be downloaded for free from the iPhone App Store.
SoftCity will be exhibiting and speaking at the Software Industry Conference in Dallas on July 15-17.
